Terms of Service
Last updated 2026. Have your lawyer review this before launch.
1. The service
Lockbox Mail ("we") provides hosted e-mail, file storage, spreadsheets and forms ("the service") to businesses ("you"). You must be an organization, not a consumer, and your use must comply with law, including CAN-SPAM, TCPA, the FDCPA where it applies to you, and your bar's rules of professional conduct where you are a law firm.
2. Your account
You are responsible for everyone you invite, for keeping two-factor devices safe, and for the content you send and store. We may suspend an account that sends unsolicited bulk mail, malware or illegal content, or that triggers abuse complaints.
3. Sending limits
Daily and per-minute limits apply to every mailbox, domain and account, and a domain may be paused automatically on bounces or complaints. These protect deliverability for everyone and are not negotiable per account.
4. Your data
Your data is yours. We encrypt message bodies, attachments, files and form submissions at rest and keep the keys apart from the data. You can export everything or erase everything at any time from Settings. We keep backups for up to 30 days after erasure.
5. Availability and liability
We aim for the service to be available at all times but do not guarantee it. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before a claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
6. Fees
Plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and can be cancelled any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
7. Changes and contact
We may update these terms with 30 days' notice by e-mail. Questions: support.
